From The Preacher's Desk:
Week of January 08-14
In Revelation 21:5 God says, “Behold, I make all things new.” Isaiah
43:19 says, “Behold, I will do a new thing.” Our God specializes in
doing new things.
Vance Havner wrote: “The New Year should remind us of the greatest
renovation project of time and eternity. The first Creation was wrecked by sin, but God began a new race with a new Adam and new creatures with new life, a new name, a new song, a new commandment, a new heaven, and a new earth!”
God is always doing something new. Let Him do a new work in you this week. Keep following Jesus as His disciple. Don’t settle for staying just like you are. Be a true disciple who knows
and follows Christ, who is being changed by Christ, and who is committed to the mission of Christ.
Will you make a resolution to be in your Sunday School Bible study and in our worship services on Sunday? Let’s make 2012 our best year ever.
