From The Preacher's Desk:
Week of January 15-21
God is with us on the good days and the bad days of life. Job wished that he could go back to the good days when God’s blessings filled his life. He said, “How I long for the months gone by, for the days when God watched over me.” (Job 29:2) Thank God for the good times in life when you have good health, a good job and lots of happiness.  Vance Havner said, “We never miss
the water till the well goes dry.”  When dark days come, remember that God did not leave.  He says that He will never leave.  On dark, cloudy days the sun is still shining above the clouds. Sickness, unemployment, grief, and faded dreams make it harder for us to see the light of God’s blessings.

Psalm 139:12 says to God:
“Even the darkness will not be dark to You; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to You.”

On the dark days of life thank God that He is with you. Through prayer and faith you can rise above the clouds to get close to God.

God bless you,
Pastor Wells
